Music ministry at St. Joan involves every member of the community.  We are all called to lift our voices in prayer and song in full, active and conscious participation.  Some are called forth to share their charisms as cantors (song/prayer leaders), psalmists, instrumentalists and choir members.  All adult choirs rehearse together Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:00 in the music ministry room next to the bookstore.  These choirs sing at the 9:15 am and 10:45 am Sunday morning liturgies.  The youth choir rehearses Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm in the music ministry room and sings at the 6:00 pm  liturgy.  Various cantors and small groups of musicians lead the prayer at the 4:30 vigil Mass, and the 8:00 am and 12:15 pm Sunday Masses.  We also have a resurrection choir which sings at funerals in the chapel and church.  There are many opportunities to sing during the Holy Seasons and for special sacraments as well.  Music greatly enhances our liturgies as we unite our voices in sung prayer.
