Due to the increase of the number of Spanish speaking parishiomers, our parish has responded to the need for more space and added activities to serve the people of God.
A parish house has been provided to house the Spanish Ministry. You are all aware of the many ministries that respond to our English-speaking parishioners. The same activities and opportunities are offered to those who speak Spanish.
Now that we have more space, we are able to offer English classes so people will be able to function in an English speaking world.
Art classes are also offered to people who have a creative talent. Our teacher Patricia Cadena has painted a beautiful mural on the wall in one of the rooms, you are invited visit us in the "Casa Hispana" and admire her art.
Workshops to prepare for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Lectors and Altar Servers as well as preparation in Spanish for the sacraments are now offered .
The CCW chapter in Spanish "Circulo de Santa Ana', meet monthly to plan the many activities they sponsor during the year.
Every fall the Women of Grace offer a workshops in Spanish held at the Spanish House.
Prayer groups meet weekly, workshops and other means of doctrinal and spiritual formation are continuously offered.
The bilingual International Cooking Classes that meet once a month are a wonderful opportunity for Spanish and English speaking parishioners to meet and befriend.
One of our goals is to integrate English and Spanish programs. Even though, two or three languages and customs prevail in our community, we are all one Church. We try to support these programs and encourage the people in our ministry to do so.
Some of our seasonal activities include a Lenten retreat, the living Stations of the Cross, the Posadas during the celebrations of Our Lord's Nativity and the feasts of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of the Caridad.
