FIFTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR: JESUS CALLS US TO BE FISHERS OF MEN

This Sunday's readings remind us that we are all part of God's plan.  God calls three people by name to be His messengers:  the prophet Isaiah and the apostles, Paul and Simon Peter.

Though each of them is overwhelmed with a feeling  of unworthiness, God believes that each of these men  can be powerful instruments of His love, joy and peace in the world.  Just as God believes in these men, God also believes in you and I.  Together with God, we can do great things. May we all say, "Here I am Lord. Send me." Amen!
