FR. GUY'S DEVOTION

Brothers and Sisters, we are reminded today in the Gospel that the Sermon on the Mount describes for us the Faith that gives us access to God. We need to pray this week for the humility to open our hardened hearts to tears, poverty and peace, so that unburdened by external concerns we will grow to understand the basis of life and the sources of joy. Let us pray for widows and orphans, that we will stop being afraid of poverty, and that we will increasingly value people for what they are. May we become peacemakers in the world who hunger for justice and peace.
